Purge of the Paragons
Arrow of Translocation
These arrows are more than just a weapon; indeed, there most potent use is outside of combat. When aimed at any inanimate, stationary object (a wall, a tree, etc.), the arrow hits automatically and penetrates the target to a depth of 1’. The arrow then instantly transports the shooter to a position immediately adjacent to the arrow, whisking the archer across any gap in the way.
When the archer arrives at the arrow, the PC must role below his DEX on a d20 in order to grab hold if there is no solid footing where the arrow has attached. The arrow will harden and remain steel-like for 1 turn + 1d4 rounds, at which point it returns to its normal, wooden condition and can no longer support weight. Before the duration expires, though, the archer can tie a rope to the arrow, hang from it, leap to safety, or any other action.
The arrows are +1 to hit in combat, but due +2 damage due to residual burying magic. They do not harden in an animate target, though.
